Nearly 200 teachers and students from 19 schools in Suphanburi and surrounding provinces participated.
The whole event was divided into two stages: the first was a grand opening ceremony and wonderful singing and dancing performances. Dr. Waranee Vessoontorntep and Dr. Pornchanit Kaew-nate also made keynote speeches respectively, expressing their warm congratulations on the 71st anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and festival wishes to the people of China and Thailand. The performances were so wonderful as to arouse continuous applauses on the spot, and the lucky draw brought even more surprises. The second stage was the Chinese cultural display and experience session. Activities included making and tasting glutinous rice balls, tasting tea, eating moon cakes, drawing on fans, painting on opera face masks, weaving Chinese knots and getting lucky bags, etc., allowing Thai students on the scene to fully experience the charm and vitality of traditional Chinese culture. The successful holding of the “Mid-Autumn Moon Chinese-Thai Love” activity has given more Thai teachers and students opportunities to fully understand and feel the festive atmosphere and customs of the Mid-Autumn Festival and strengthened their interest and enthusiasm for learning Chinese.
In addition, the CISDUS has released a short video for celebrating the National Day on its own website, Facebook account, WeChat official account and other media platforms to extend heartfelt birthday wishes to the great motherland.
